Syrian academic and researcher with over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Aleppo University with a strong focus on atomic absorption techniques. held several key positions, including: Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Idlib University (2015–2020), President of Idlib University (2020–2023), Vice President of Maarif University of Applied Sciences (2023–Present), Scientific Advisor to the Drug Control Directorate in Idlib (2016–2021), published multiple peer-reviewed studies and supervised many graduate students, Masters and PhD.

Dr Amjad Abouselo

PhD in Pharmaceutical Formulation and Drug Delivery from the University of Nottingham, UK, with over 8 years of industrial and academic experience in advanced therapeutics, formulation development, and nanomedicine. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, UK, leading the development and scale-up of diverse pharmaceutical delivery systems for all clinical phases.

Dr Mohamad Abou Shamat

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, with over 10 years of experience in polymers, hydrogels, nanoparticles, and drug formulation for biomedical applications.

Dr Hasan Alkassem

PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London (UK), with with over a decade of experience in business development, strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical CDMO industry across Europe and China, specialising in APIs—small molecules, peptides, and biologics.

Dr Khalid Alkassem

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, with over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and production leadership. Currently Team Lead in CGM Manufacturing at Roche Diabetes Care, Germany, with prior roles at Rentschler Biopharma and Vetter Pharma.

Dr Mohammed Alkattan

PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow (UK), with over 10 years of experience in biomaterials, hydrogels, and medical device development. Currently Product Development Director at Gentell, specialising in translating cutting-edge polymer innovations into compliant, market-ready solutions for advanced wound care.

Mr Mohamad Alnassir

Licensed pharmacist with a Master’s in Pharmacy and over 10 years of experience spanning pharmaceutical advising, medical representation, and creative solutions management. Skilled in drug safety, healthcare AI, and quality assurance, with a strong foundation in the Swedish and EU pharmaceutical systems.

Mr Bilal Attar

MSc in Applied Biotechnology from Uppsala University, Sweden, and MSc in Corporate Entrepreneurship from Lund University, Sweden, with over 8 years of experience in innovation and digital product development. Currently a Senior Product Owner at Novo Nordisk, Denmark.

Dr Zaher Elbeck

PhD in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, with more than 10 years of experience in molecular biology, cardiovascular drug development, and sequencing technologies. Currently a Researcher at the Karolinska Institutet and Uppsala University, Sweden, focusing on epigenetic regulation and biomarker discovery.

Dr Aref Kyyaly

PhD in Biochemistry from Cairo University, Egypt, with over 10 years of experience in biotechnology, protein purification, and academic teaching. Currently a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences at Solent University, UK, with a strong background in yeast biotechnology and enzyme expression.

Dr Osama Mahmah

PhD in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from the University of Sheffield, UK, with over 10 years of experience in drug formulation, regulatory science, and pharmaceutical development. Currently serving as a Pharmaceutical Assessor at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), UK.

Dr Wael Naboulsi

PhD in Biology and Biotechnology from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, with more than 10 years of experience in clinical bioanalytics and LC-MS assay development. Currently a Senior Scientist at MSD (Merck Sharp & Dohme), Germany, leading regulated bioanalytical studies for clinical drug development.

MSc in Biotechnology from Lund University, Sweden, with over 8 years of experience in market intelligence and business strategy in the pharma, biotech, and CDMO sectors.

Dr Reem Obaydo

PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Aleppo, Syria, with over 15 years of academic and research experience in analytical chemistry, green pharmaceutical analysis, and sustainability. Currently an Independent Postdoctoral Fellow at Ebla Private University, Syria.

Dr Susan Nasif Obeid-Adorisio

PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Virology, KU Leuven), AI health strategist, and founder of MatMedTech, advancing biotech innovation across Europe and the Middle East. Led health projects with DG-SANTE (European Commission) and Gemelli Hospital in Rome, following earlier antiviral research with Janssen and external collaborations with MSD and Novartis on health education initiatives. A member of the Italian Society for AI in Medicine (SIIAM)

Dr Humam Siga

PhD student in Medical Biotechnology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, with over 7 years of research experience in bioinformatics, immunogenetics, and molecular biology. Currently affiliated with KTH and SciLifeLab, Sweden, with previous roles at Karolinska Institutet.
